My Bio

Aaminah completed her bachelor's degree in psychology, where she developed a strong foundation in understanding human behaviour, mental health, and the complexities of personality. Her research interests include adolescent psychology, mental illness and personality disorders, as well as sport and performance psychology. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at Ohio State University, whether she is further developing her clinical skills in evidence-based interventions, trauma-informed care, and holistic therapeutic approaches. Upon graduation, Aaminah aspires to be a clinician dedicated to providing compassionate and culturally responsive mental health support to individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges.

My Story

Rooted in cultural humility, trauma informed care, and a strengths-based approach, my practice prioritizes the dignity, autonomy, and lived experiences of each client. I endeavor to provide compassionate support that promotes mental health awareness, resilience, and healing.  I strive to work with you in a dichotomous manner practicing evidence-based intervention methods while also promoting holistic techniques to help you have a well-rounded approach to healing. I embrace modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
