My Bio

Adriana is a 2nd year Master of Social Work Student at Ohio State University beginning her journey is clinical practice. She is a caring, compassionate, and empathic individual who has a passion for helping others and empowering others to believe they can succeed. Adriana has nearly 5 years of experience working the field with different types of vulnerable populations. Adriana is trained in Traumatic Incident Reduction which is a rapid method of effectively reducing traumatic stress from emotionally and/or physically painful events in the past. Adriana has taken numerous courses involving suicidality and responding to the needs of a person presenting with suicidality. Adriana is a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and obtained a Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Windsor. She is also registered with the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care Practitioners and the Traumatic Incident Reduction Association. 

About Me

Client Focus and Specializations

Adriana is also a registered Child and Youth worker who has previous experience working with children ages 6-16 providing support in the intensive milieu program for youth with mental health/development concerns. She has experience working in a homeless shelter for women and families and working with adults who have a severe and persistent mental illness.
