My Bio

Akasia completed her bachelor's degree at Ohio State University in City and Regional Planning and is currently pursuing her master's in social work. In recent years, Akasia has worked at Ohio State University to connect military-connected students with various services and resources at and around the university. Upon graduation, Akasia aspired to be a clinician to provide mental health support to servicemember, veterans, and their families. Additionally, she plans to influence policies in the military to ensure that each soldier, sailor, marine, airman, coastguardsman, and guardian can appropriately take care of their mental health without concerns about how that will impact their ability to carry out the mission.
