My Story
As far back as I can remember, I have been passionate and eager to learn more about psychology and mental health. In middle school, I wrote an essay on Sigmund Freud, and to this day, I wonder why I didn’t continue along this path from the beginning. I realize my path in life happened for a reason and I now have been able to follow my dreams.
I am a lifelong learner who continues to research and learn as much as I can to perform to the best of my abilities. I align myself with experts in the field who are dedicated to individuals needing support, guidance, and counseling to provide evidence-based, trauma-informed, solution-focused therapeutic approaches tailored to your specific needs.
Life experiences have led me to where I am now. I have needed to use counseling throughout my life which proved to be valuable learning experiences, both personally and professionally. My desire is to help and inspire, make a difference, and use evidence-based mental health practices to witness growth and progress in everyone, while integrating and tailoring modalities for each individual. With a strong ethical and moral foundation, I work within my boundaries to provide the utmost care to those I serve. I have an innate ability to connect with others and welcome you to a comfortable, warm, and non-judgmental environment. My goal is to provide you with the necessary tools to make the hard work a little easier.
I am a mom to two college-aged children. I have 4 Great Danes: Myrsaydeez, Moose, Rocky and Dude. I practice self-care by spending time with my kids and dogs, traveling, reading, watching true crime, spending time at the beach and enjoying the outdoors.
